VENUS MATERIAL UPDATED BELOW

On September 3rd, 2010, Venus entered the zone of the zodiac which she will traverse three times during the forthcoming Retrograde 'loop'. The entire arc lasts from 3rd September - 20th December, with the greatest intensity occurring around the end of October. Venus is in Scorpio throughout this period, from September 8th 2010 until January 7th, 2011.

"We the people ......"

During 2009, there was a rare series of triple conjunctions in Aquarius,

involving Jupiter, Chiron and Neptune.

The Chiron-Neptune conjunction in mid-February 2009 marked the beginning of a new cycle. The 'ghosts of the outgoing cycle' have been stalking about, so to speak, some disguised as 'The New'. At the same time, a potent spiritual 'download' has been occurring. This conjunction is actually within orb from 2007 - 2014, and so is an important 'signature' these times, where indeed, we are put on notice to remember that things are not as they seem .....

Although the recent 'exclusion' (August 2006) of Pluto from the Solar System has proven controversial, the 'new shape of things' yields some wonderful symbolism. An exploration of the cyclic journey of Venus, with reference to the ancient story of the goddess Inanna. For the Sumerian culture, the planet Venus was a personification of Inanna. Inanna's story can be read as an almanac of the movements of Venus, charting as it does her periodic appearances and disappearances in the dawn and evening skies. Ancient Sumeria equates to modern-day Iraq, so this story has particular poignance at present. It was literally pieced together from cuneiform text written on clay tablets, found broken into fragments and buried in the sands of Iraq. They were unearthed and housed in museums, mainly in Turkey and the USA, to be 're-membered' later, by an international team of Sumeriolists who pieced the fragments together over decades and began the painstaking translation work.   The Venus cycle repeats about every 18 months, so check this space for updates.
