ORCUS - Companion of Pluto
There are a number of objects on the outer edge of the Solar System called 'Trans-Neptunian Objects' because, as the name suggests, their orbital path takes them further out than the orbit of Neptune. Orcus is one such, and particularly interesting because of mirroring certain orbital
characteristics of Pluto.
Orcus was an ancient 'sea-monster', possibly a precursor to the 'Lords of the Underworld' from later cultures, such as the familiar Hades and Pluto. Certainly, the 'watery' connection seems to be important.
Melanie has been researching Orcus since August 2007, and will share her ideas thus far about its meaning and process, with material drawn from her own intuitive attunement, as well as observation of individual psychological processes.
This is first time in the UK that an entire day has been dedicated to the understanding of Orcus!

To get a rough idea of the position of Orcus:
1. Find your year of birth (the 3 columns extreme left show date, month and year)
2. Look along that horizontal line, past the zeros (indicating 00 hr midnight) and you'll see an abbreviated zodiac position. This column is marked in RED at the top only. This shows you where Orcus was located in zodiac terms in your year of birth.
3. Ignore all the other columns, for this purpose, although they contain lots of other interesting information.
If you want a more accurate position:
1. Download the free software, RIYAL, created by Juan Revilla.
2. If you run Solar Fire, v.6+, there are pre-installed folders which will give you the positions of a number of TNOs, including Orcus. They go in the 'Extra Ring' which has to be set up accordingly.
